Kidd Township

THE PROPERTY

The property is located in Kidd Township approximately 1.5km south from Glencore’s Kidd Creek mine in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, which is composed mainly of meta-volcanic rocks cut by faults and deformation zones that lie in a northwest to southeast direction. Previous drilling by Xstrata, South of Explor’s property yielded anomalous Cu-Zn values. The property is comprised of 30 claims (146 units) and one patented claim and cover an area of approximately 2,611 hectares.

HISTORY AND GEOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

The Kidd Creek mine has produced at least 130 million tonnes of base metal ore since it started production in 1966. A series of untested airborne anomalies have been observed on the property. A review of existing data has revealed a series of linear airborne anomalies with an east-west trend.
